This class discusses how much RAM you will require, which kind of drive suits your needs, whether to buy online or in person and if a warranty is worth the expense. There will be demonstrations on how to look up CPU ratings as well as how to use websites from companies like Amazon. This class is Step One in understanding choices.

While many are familiar with Siri and Google Assistant, we’ll go beyond these and introduce more AI systems: Gemini, ChatGPT, CoPilot.
We’ll compare how several services compare and function, highlighting their key differences with real-life examples. To bring AI to life, we’ll showcase three brief videos demonstrating AI in action.

This class will show you how to download, set up and use FreeFileSync to create an easy-to-use process to back up your valuable pictures, documents & videos.

Excel: The Basics

This is an introduction (or refresher course) to basic Excel skills, such as entering various types of data, working with common formulas and functions. We’ll also cover formatting a worksheet, entering a formula, entering a function, creating a simple chart, naming a range of cells, adding columns or rows to a spreadsheet, sorting and filtering data, modifying or creating a data table and creating an Excel table.
Prerequisite skills: Use a mouse, open and close windows, open and save files, switch between application windows.

This class is designed for those new to computers. We’ll answer essential questions like:
How do I use a computer?
Where do I start?
How can I find more help?
We’ll begin with a hands-on activity to help you customize your desktop. You’ll also learn how to send emails and browse the internet with confidence. Through interactive exercises and real-world examples, you’ll develop fundamental computer skills.
Additionally, we’ll cover the basics of computer organization, including:
Understanding file paths, extensions, and storage
Finding and managing photos and files
Creating and organizing folders and subfolders
Moving and copying files for better accessibility
By the end of this class, you’ll have the foundational knowledge and confidence to navigate and use a computer efficiently.

IPad/iPhone for Seniors

The iPad and the iPhone function the same in most cases. Their portability makes them very handy. You can not only check your email and carry your books and music around with you, you can also adjust the size of the text on your screen. We will review iPad or iPhone settings and will include Bluetooth, Siri, dictation, books on the iPad and more.
PREREQUISITES: You need to bring your fully charged iPad or iPhone to class along with the charger and USB cord. It is presumed that your device is already set up for use and you know both your password and your passcode.
