Passwords to Passkeys

Cost: $5.00 Members $10.00 Non Members
15 person limit No prerequisites
For members who missed the presentation in October and would still like to explore the topic of Passkeys.
Passwords have been around for thousands of years, long before computers ever existed. Their use goes back as far as biblical times and the Roman Empire. Most of us have been trying to get our passwords under control since the beginning of the computer age.
Passwords are essentially used to authenticate a user. Passkeys are a new and potentially better way to do just that. If you have had difficulty controlling your passwords and are frustrated with them, passkeys may be a good alternative.
This class will discuss passwords, passkeys and general computer security concerns, and some of the techniques employed to mitigate potential security problems.
